SPRINGFIELD, NJ — Several Springfield school administrators earn more than $150,000, information released by the New Jersey Department of Education shows.
The Springfield administrators are among the 1,552 on the department's list of superintendents and principals and their salaries released annually.
The local administrators, their salaries, years of service, and their rank on the list, are:
Superintendents and assistant superintendents:
199: Michael Davino, district office, 15 years, $186,645
273: Daniel Bland, district office, 16 years, $179,227
Principals and assistant principals:

The list has grown recently. Last year, fewer than 1,000 principals and superintendents made $150,000 annually.

In 2018-2019, the median salary for administrators $123,923, according to a Patch analysis of salary data for public school districts and charter schools. The increase was less than 1 percent above the previous year's median salary.
The Department of Education has said the department double-checks the data before delivering it to the media.
