OWINGS MILLS, Md. — There won't be a homecoming for Terrell Suggs.
According to a report from Ian Rapoport, Suggs was claimed on Monday afternoon by the Chiefs after being placed on waivers by the Cardinals on Friday.

This season, Suggs has 5.5 sacks and 37 combined tackles for the Cardinals in 13 games. He’s struggled of late, however, and has registered just one quarterback hit — a sack — in his last four games.
According to Josina Anderson, the Ravens did not put in a claim on Suggs since they were last in the waiver order.
Adding here: I'm told the #Ravens did not put a claim in on former #Cardinals LB Terrell Suggs believing it "wouldn't make sense" given the team is "last in the order." https://t.co/j24o4XxSnb

Some expected a reunion with the Ravens for the franchise leader in sacks and games played, but the Chiefs had other ideas.
It is unclear at this time if Suggs will report to Kansas City after reports surfaced Saturday that he would consider not reporting to the team if he wasn’t headed to Baltimore. CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora does not expect Suggs to report to Kansas City.
Would not anticipate Terrell Suggs reporting to the Chiefs.

After Alex Okafor was lost for the season with a torn pec, the Chiefs had a need for pass-rushers on the outside. The Chiefs currently rank 11th in sacks in the NFL with 39.
The Ravens aren’t scheduled to play the Chiefs in the final two games, and should the standings hold, the first possible matchup would be the AFC Championship game.
